On February 24th, a delegation from the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture visited MoreMeat. The delegation was accompanied by Acting Consul General Andalucía Tribuan Tojga Dewi of the Indonesian Consulate General in Guangzhou and other guests. They held discussions with representatives from several Chinese food companies, focusing on food security and nutritional protein programs, exploring potential cooperation and investment opportunities. This meeting brought together resources from both government and enterprises in China and Indonesia.

Led by Dr. Nasrullah from the Ministry of Agriculture’s Trade and International Relations Department, the Indonesian delegation included heads responsible for agricultural policy, logistics management, horticulture industries, among others. Their aim was to implement priority policies promoted by the Indonesian President in agriculture, including food security and child nutrition improvement programs, through site visits, technical seminars, and collaboration with Chinese companies.

The event was organized by the Sino-Indonesian Innovation Cooperation Promotion Center (in preparation). Attendees included Center Director Zheng Yan, Deputy Director Jing Shiqi, General Manager Li Ting and Deputy General Manager Zeng Yifang from Guangzhou Shixing Investment Co., Ltd., Executive Director Dr. Jiang Xianzhi and COO Dr. Tian Lingzhi from MoreMeat, along with representatives from various Chinese food companies. Together, they explored investment and cooperation opportunities with the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture delegation.
As the host company, Dr. Jiang Xianzhi, Executive Director of MoreMeat, first provided a detailed introduction to the delegation about the company’s innovative achievements in microbial protein. Mycoprotein is a high-quality alternative protein with significant advantages such as high nutritional value, environmental friendliness, and high production efficiency. Notably, MoreMeat’s proprietary filamentous Mycoprotein based on a new generation Fusarium strain received GRAS certification in the U.S. in 2024, becoming the first Mycoprotein product of its kind to gain market access in the U.S. This breakthrough has paved the way for domestic microbial protein products to enter overseas markets.

This in-depth exchange not only highlights China’s technological strength in areas like microbial protein, livestock farming, and dairy but also provides strong support for enhancing Indonesia’s food security and child nutrition protein programs. In the future, MoreMeat will continue to be driven by microbial technology innovation, leading the high-quality development of China’s Mycoprotein industry, and actively expanding into international markets, contributing “Chinese wisdom” and “Chinese solutions” to the construction of global sustainable food systems.
